Types of forests.

Conifer

Coniferous forest is a forest consisting of trees of one or more conifers: pine, spruce, fir, larch, and others. In forestry, depending on the density of the canopy, distinguish light coniferous forests formed by pine and larch.

Deciduous forest

A deciduous forest is a forest made up of deciduous trees and shrubs. It is also called a deciduous or summer-green forest because of its characteristic annual shedding of leaves before the onset of cold weather.

Mixed forest

Mixed forest is a forest characterized by a mixture of coniferous and deciduous tree species. As a rule, mixed forests are usually referred to when the admixture of deciduous or coniferous trees is more than 5% of the total.
